Christian fundamentalists, presumably out of paranoia that any shift toward empirical reasoning will rob them of sociopolitical power, have launched vitriolic and unfounded attacks on knowledge and intellectualism.
The following is a response by biologist Ken Miller, who testified at the trial for Kitzmiller vs. Dover School Board.
"The reviewer’s claim that the theory of evolution is responsible for 300 million deaths is absurd and insulting.
